Project Overview
A contractor in the IIOT field approached the rosslight software team with the request to develop a showcase for intelligent alarm management for a production line to enable pattern detection in events as well as dashboarding to compare different time frames.
Solution Provided
In the production factory, machines generate events whenever an error occurs, including timestamps, error codes, descriptions, and statuses ("received" or "cleared"). Using the Elastic Stack (Filebeat, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana), the rosslight software team processed these events to create visualizations for error analysis. Logstash's aggregate filter was crucial for calculating error durations by caching data until a trigger event. Kibana then provided a dashboard for users to compare error patterns across different shifts, optimizing production processes.
